In January 2016, a one-man show called GEORGIE opened at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia starring Ed Dixon and directed by Eric Schaeffer. For 90 minutes, audience relived the golden years of Broadway, laughing at the extravagant stories and remembering the “good old days” of show business through the amazing life story of the two-time Tony Award winning actor, George Rose. Ed Dixon recounted his own tale of how he got to know and admire George over a twenty-year friendship until the tables turned in a very unexpected and life-changing way.
This roller-coaster of a show captured audiences in Washington like none other. Everyone was talking about this unique tour-de-force. Everyone was leaving the theatre in awe of what they had just witnessed. Everyone was speechless.
It’s now time to share this story with others. Its time has come to make its New York debut. Join the adventure this fall.
